Job Description

A full-time position is available to support a 6th-grade emotionally disabled (ED) classroom in a middle school setting. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide 1:1 support to students within an established and supportive educational environment. The contract position is for a full semester, starting as soon as possible, with a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours. Located in Phoenix, AZ, this role is ideal for individuals dedicated to making a meaningful impact on students' educational experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized 1:1 support to students within the 6th-grade ED classroom
• Collaborate closely with experienced colleagues trained in specialized educational models
• Participate in on-site coaching sessions for ongoing professional development and support
• Assist in implementing behavior management strategies and individualized education plans
• Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment conducive to learning and growth

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience working in 1:1 educational support roles, preferably with students classified as emotionally disabled
• Ability to work full-time, maintaining consistent engagement throughout the semester
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
