Title: CNC Machinist

Location: Santa Ana, CA 92705
Duration: 18 months (Temp to Perm)
Temp to Hire (Y/N)? YES

Pay rate: $25/hr on w2.

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 6am to 2:30pm PST

The Machinist must be flexible to meet the business and customer’s needs, including frequently reworking non-conforming outsourced materials in order to meet deadlines. The Machinist is required to rework materials and parts to very tight tolerance. Attention to detail while safely working in a high speed manufacturing area is key for success in this role.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Operates and maintains lathe, milling, grinding, balancing and spin test machines.

Performs highly sensitive work.

Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production.

Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping.

Selects appropriate machines, tooling and settings for a given task.

Ability to adapt tasks based on production needs.

supports company OTD by alleviating bottlenecks with sensitive parts.

Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects.

Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.

Maintains a safe and clean workstation.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Comfortable reworking defective or finishing of materials supplied by others.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

5+ years of experience in manufacturing/assembly machining

Knowledge of Manufacturing procedures and processes

Deep knowledge of machining operations

Knowledge of ANSI Y14.5 geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

Self motivated and able to work independently in a fast paced environment

Excellent coordination and mechanical

skills

Proficient in basic arithmetic

Basic computer skills

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks

Familiar with 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles

Ability to work effectively with teams in Engineering, Quality and HSE (Health, Safety and Environment)
