The Editor is responsible for the editing and project management of individual publications covering a wide array of topics and in both print and digital formats. Editors manage the publication process from initial manuscript development through substantive and copy editing, proofreading, and finalization of the content. The Publishing Department produces several books a year, with an emphasis on scholarly collection and exhibition catalogues. Working with the Director of Publishing, Production Manager, and the author, the Editor shapes the content of a given publication, develops project schedules and works closely with other authors, curators, designers, photographers, production staff, translators, and other freelancers to keep the project focused and on schedule.
