About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of protecting irreplaceable natural habitats through conservation, research, education, and community involvement. The successful candidate will be a steward of the organization's mandate, with a focus on natural habitat and biodiversity protection as the top priority. This role requires a visionary leader who can provide strategic planning, and management, and enhance the company's research, education, programs, fundraising, and community engagement efforts. The Executive Director will also be responsible for maintaining a cohesive working relationship with the Board of Trustees, leading the development of the strategic plan, and ensuring the organization's day-to-day operations are professionally and efficiently administered. Ideal candidates for the Executive Director position at the company should have a deep passion for nature, leadership skills, and a background in environmental sciences. Expertise in land acquisition and management is preferred, as is a proven track record in management, problem-solving, and strategic planning within a nonprofit or government agency. The role demands a dynamic fundraiser with the ability to engage new audiences and a collaborative, empathetic approach to leadership. The Executive Director should be an effective relationship builder, comfortable in the field, and a proactive, analytical problem solver.
