This position will have oversight of Home-Based Crisis Intervention Program, to ensure the successful implementation and ongoing success of grant program. Educational Qualifications : A master’s degree in one of the qualifying fields* and licenses to provide mental health services in New York State At least two years’ experience providing direct services to persons with Serious Mental Illness, developmental disabilities, substance use disorder, and/or Children with Severe Emotional Disturbances and their families; OR Linking individuals with Serious Mental Illness, Children with SED, developmental disabilities, and/or alcoholism or substance abuse to a broad range of services essential to successful living in a community setting (e.g., medical, psychiatric, social, education, legal, housing, and financial services.) Prefer experience providing clinical and/or administrative supervision to employees or programs serving persons with Serious Mental Illness, developmental , substance use disorder, and/or Children with severe emotional disturbances and their families. Other position specific qualifications : Reliable and trustworthy, sound decision-making skills Strong verbal, writing and organizational skills. Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel) Demonstrated ability to serve families, staff, partners in a professional, welcoming, and person- centered manner. Awareness of culturally relevant services and supports taking into account racial and of youth and families served, youth culture, and rural culture. Ability to implement a team approach with all partners (relationship building skills) Ability to understand data, to determine outcomes evident for individual and program. Ability to teach and mentor staff. Must be able to clear NYS Criminal Justice Background Check, Office of Children and Families Background Check, Department of Health Background Check, and clear the NYS staff exclusion list. OIG and HHS-OIG Clearance. Extensive knowledge of services offered in the North Country region for children, youth, and parents. Knowledge of trauma and its effects on families Reliable transportation including driver’s license, registration, insurance, and inspection. Able to adhere to confidentiality. Job Responsibilities : Implementation and ongoing management of program Coordinate partnerships with all other grant partners, staff, school, and all other referral sources Regularly monitor for referrals and promptly assign them to ensure grant compliance. Responsible for compliance with NYS Office of Mental Health contract regarding grant Responsible for compliance with all State and Federal Laws Participate in evaluation activities associated with the grant. Coordinate data collection activities outlined in grant proposal. Review data collected to determine outcomes by staff. Train, mentor, motivate and manage staff. Conduct monthly audit on paperwork for each assigned staff member. Meet monthly with Project Director to give monthly updates, concerns, ideas regarding the grant project. Attend community events and meetings to educate community members and stake holders on the HBCI program, services being offered through the grant and the value of the services being offered. Attend and coordinate daily to weekly staff meetings where individuals/families are discussed. Work collaboratively with project partners and other community stakeholders Ensure compliance with all agency policies and procedures. Coordinate 24/7 on-call schedule Carry caseload as necessary providing program services. Work in the community and family homes to complete assessments, create realistic safety plans, action plans. Ability to work shifts which will provide coverage for during operational hours 24/7 hours, 365 days per year including holidays. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services including all calls referred to 911 or Crisis Line. Ensure timesheets of self and employees are completed in a timely manner. Must complete agency mandated trainings as well as Question, Persuade, refer (QRP), Information Security Awareness, Right-To-Know as well as HBCI specific trainings and ensure HBCI also complete these trainings. Demonstrated ability to manage high stress situations. Ability to work as a team member, providing support and constructive feedback in interpersonal interaction.
