We are currently looking for a Full Time HR Generalist to join our Human Resources Health and Family Services team located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center working 8:00AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.
Summary: Responsibilities: * Investigate employee relations issues by interviewing, reviewing data such as annual reviews and employment history of both employee and management involved in order to ensure "People First" culture is upheld, and the appropriate next steps are taken based on all the facts of the investigation
* Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
* Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
* Coach management to ensure employees receive objective reviews and clear communication regarding their performance. When there are performance deficiencies, assist in determining root cause analyses to affect desired changes in performance
* Communicate/Revise internal policy, practices, and procedures based on an in-depth understanding of the Employee Handbook and internal practices to promote consistent and fair decisions by management in the application of rewards, evaluations, and discipline
* Develop partnerships inside and outside of HR to contribute to job evaluation, the implementation of strategy, and organizational changes by combining an in-depth understanding of all jobs within assigned area and HR Strategy
* Train employees by employment group on topics such as Sexual Harassment, Progressive Discipline, and general Human Resources in order to provide employees with a fair/ consistent workplace in support of creating a "people first" environment
* Create reports using HRIS system in order to ensure management decisions are based on accurate data (Headcount reporting, performance management, etc.)
* May provide administrative functions such as entering transactional data into the HRIS system, coordination of severance processing, performance management, and new hire orientation ensuring departmental procedures are followed and performance standards are maintained
* Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types

* Developing and basic proficiency skills in Excel

* Basic skill in creating PowerPoint presentations
Experience: Essential:
* 1 year directly related experience
Education: Essential:
* High School, GED or Equivalent
Nonessential:
* Bachelors of Business

* Bachelor's degree in business administration, HR, related field or progress towards completionOne (1) years of progressively responsible experience in HR required, preferably in multi-site/multi-state environmentsOne (1) years of experience investigating and resolving complex employee relations issues

* CN Core Leadership Level 1
* Standard Driver's License
* Pass gaming background check

* Society of Human Resource Management-Certified Professional
