Role Overview : We are looking for a network engineer to join our Route36 @ Meta team working on Meta’s BBE-IP team. The team is responsible for designing, building, and operating Meta's global IP network infrastructure. Requirements : Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, systems engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field. 4 to 6 years of network engineering experience. CCNP/JNCIP certification or equivalent. Minimum 7 years experience in a very technical, individual contributor role Self-motivated and results-driven, with a passion for learning and growth Strong verbal and written communication skills Skills : Expert networking skills with vendors like Cisco and Juniper, including designing, building, deploying, and debugging networking products. Proficient in troubleshooting network interoperability issues across multiple vendors, connectivity, diagnostics, and configurations. In-depth knowledge of major networking hardware Expertise in routing and switching technologies and protocols such as TCP/IP, LLDP, BGP, ISIS/OSPF/EIGRP, and MPLS/DWDM/WAN Proficient in IPv4/IPv6, scripting, and network management. Strong Linux OS knowledge Expert understanding of fiber-optic technology, including cable types, connector types, optic types, patch panels, and optical transport technologies. Experience with IXIA network test platforms or similar tools. Knowledgeable in security concepts such as ACLs, IPSec, MACSec, and stateful firewalls.
