Pediatric Hospitalist / ER PA
(Physician Assistant)

Are you a highly skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) looking for a dynamic role in a supportive environment? Luminis Healths Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC) in beautiful Annapolis, Maryland, is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist / ER PA to join our dedicated team! This is an excellent opportunity for experienced PAs to make a significant impact in a combined Pediatric Emergency Department and Inpatient Unit.

You'll be joining Doctors Emergency Services P.A., an independent, single-specialty Emergency Medicine group. Our 18-bed combined Peds ED/Inpatient Unit manages approximately 20,000 ED visits and 1,000 admissions annually. We pride ourselves on being subspecialty-rich for a community hospital, and we are strategically positioned between two tertiary care pediatric centers, fostering strong collaboration to best serve the children in our community.

You will work as part of a dedicated team of 11 experienced pediatricians and PNPs. While you will work independently, you will always have strong physician support with 24 hours of dedicated pediatrician staffing and 16 hours of daily double physician coverage. This role offers unique exposure to both ER procedures and inpatient management, providing a comprehensive and challenging clinical experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing comprehensive hospitalist care for all patients in both the Pediatric ED and Inpatient Unit
• Working a full-time schedule of 32 clinical hours per week, with flexible 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts distributed across days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Part-time options are also available, with a minimum commitment of 64 hours per month
• Ensuring high-quality, consistent, evidence-based practice within the department
• Actively contribute to departmental quality and safety initiatives

Requirements include:

• Strong clinical skills in pediatrics
• Board Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA)
• Minimum of 3-5 years of pediatric-specific experience as a PA
• Ability to provide hospitalist care for all patients in the ED and the inpatient unit, with an aptitude for both ER procedures and inpatient management
