Job Description

Overview:

This role is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed TTWCS project schedules in Microsoft Project, ensuring tasks are properly sequenced and interdependencies are clearly defined. The scheduler will coordinate with project leads, technical leads, and team members to gather status updates, track progress, and provide regular reports on schedule health. Additionally, the position supports proactive risk management by identifying potential timeline impacts and assisting in documenting and communicating risks to leadership

Travel: No Clearance:

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Requirements:
  • 2–4 years of experience building and maintaining project schedules in Microsoft Project
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project for creating, maintaining, and reporting on project schedules

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for providing updates and coordinating across teams

Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain detailed TTWCS project schedules using Microsoft Project software. Work with TTWCS Project Leads and Technical Leads to ensure all tasks are sequenced correctly and interdependencies are identified
  • Track project progress against the schedule, communicating any potential delays with the Project Leads
  • Provide regular updates to TTWCS Project Leads and Technical Leads about project status and any changes in the schedule. Reach out to task owners to obtain completion percentages and status updates. Work with the Project Analyst to provide schedule slides for recurring SDA meetings
  • Work closely with TTWCS Project Leads, Technical Leads, and team members to coordinate tasks
  • Identify potential risks that could impact project timelines and work with Project Analyst to ensure risks are documented
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • 5+ years of scheduling experience, ideally on large, multi-task projects
  • Experience supporting DoD programs or working in a defense contracting environment

  • Familiarity with risk management practices and tools (e.g., risk registers, mitigation planning)

  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles or exposure to formal project management frameworks

  • Ability to translate complex schedules into clear, concise reports or briefing slides

  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with technical leads, project managers, and task owners

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Compensation:

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.

 

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $66,100.00 - $96,540.00 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
