We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead our quality assurance efforts. As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the ISO9001 Quality Program, managing a team of Inspectors and Analysts, and ensuring compliance with quality management systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and identify and address quality issues, develop corrective actions, and maintain a safe work environment.
As a Quality Manager, you will be resonsible for:
\n - The overall management and auditing of the ISO9001 Quality Program;
\n - Managing and staffing a team of a dozen Inspectors and Analysts, conducting performance reviews, and supporting employee development;
\n - Performing leadership responsibilities such as setting departmental objectives in line with overall business objectives;
\n - Consulting, collaborating, and working as a liaison with other departments and internal/external customers to provide the support required to successfully evaluate and bring closure to any quality issues, including detailing root cause and corrective action;
\n - Administering non-conforming material disposition in accordance with the Quality Management System;
\n - Directing activities for prevention of nonconformances by developing action plans through which positive determination of causes, corrective actions, and follow-up activities are identified;
\n - Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant discipline(s), industry practices, trends, and applications;
\n - Supporting and maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with safety objectives and policies;
\n - Assisting in the development and/or modification of specifications and procedures to the extent that they conform to existing or improved quality levels;
\n - Providing assistance with technical customer support including leading support for customer audits;
\n - Overseeing review of technical documents for customer orders and supplier purchase orders;
\n - Generating technical reports as necessary.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills \n - Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 8 years directly related experience in a Quality Assurance/Quality Control role and 3 years of supervisory and/or management experience, or the overall equivalent.
\n - Working experience operating within ISO 9001 standard.
\n - Direct knowledge of TQM, SPC, AS9100, ISO9001 and state-of-the-art analytical quality assurance methodologies.
\n - Motivated leader to drive continuous improvement by leading through example and working with and developing teams.
\n - Management experience with a proven track record of driving quality performance.
\n - As a skilled negotiator and trusted advisor, able to work effectively with customers and resolve customer complaints.
\n - Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
\n - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact and disseminate information with individuals at all levels in the organization.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills \n - Ability to collaborate, coach, guide, and offer training.
\n - Excellent organizational skills.
\n - Computer skills to include MS Office Suite and ability to work with industry related software.
\n - ASQ Certification preferred.
\n - Experience managing quality assurance program in support of DOD contracts.
\n - Formal training in root cause analysis and corrective action.
\n - Shipyard experience helpful.

Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $116419 - $197912
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
