Job Description
Job Description Our client is looking for a sharp, motivated Strategic Finance Senior Associate to join their Finance team. This is a high-visibility role ideal for candidates with an investment banking or private equity background who thrive in fast-paced environments and approach their work with a PE–style mindset—structured, strategic, and results-oriented.
As a key member of their FP&A function, you will partner with cross-functional teams and leadership to provide accurate, actionable financial analysis that informs strategic decisions and fuels value creation.
Own and lead the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
Build robust, presentation-ready 3-statement financial models that support scenario planning and executive decision-making.
Translate financial results into clear, actionable insights via dashboards and management reports.
Deliver monthly financial performance packages with variance analysis and forward-looking commentary.
Support strategic growth initiatives and partner with teams across the business to identify opportunities and risks.
Continuously seek ways to improve FP&A processes through automation, standardization, and scalability.
Requirements:
~ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, MIS, or a related field.
~2–5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or FP&A roles; formal i-banking analyst training is a strong advantage.
~ Advanced Excel and modeling skills —you can build intuitive, executive-ready 3-statement models that stand up to scrutiny.
~ Strong communicator able to distill complex financial topics into strategic recommendations.
~ A self-starter with a strong sense of ownership who thrives in ambiguous and dynamic environments.
~ Experience preparing materials for executives, board meetings, or investors.
~ Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau, OneStream, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 – ideal.
~ Experience in high-growth, acquisitive, or fast-paced operating environments.
