Job Description

An elementary school is seeking a dedicated paraprofessional to support student learning in a structured classroom environment. This contract position is available for the upcoming school year. The ideal candidate will assist teachers in delivering instruction and helping students achieve academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support classroom teachers with instructional activities and lesson preparation
• Provide individual or small group assistance to students, reinforcing lessons and managing behavior
• Help maintain a positive and productive learning environment
• Assist with classroom management, routine tasks, and supervision of students
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to meet students academic and social needs

Qualifications:

• Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow directions and work effectively in a team setting
• Patience, reliability, and a passion for helping students thrive

Location: Waukegan, IL (Elementary School)

This position is available for the full duration of the academic year under a contract agreement. The role offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to student growth within an educational setting.
