We’re Looking For A: Video Editor – Direct Response Marketing responsible for video production, editing & crafting compelling visual narratives that resonate with Golden Hippo’s target audience, and also drive marketing success. From brainstorming concepts to delivering polished final products, you'll be involved in every step of the process. Location: Woodland Hills, CA (Hybrid) What You’ll Be Doing: Edit and create long-form video content utilizing stock footage and in-house graphics. Edit engaging short-form content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. Analyze direct marketing trends and implement them in all the videos. Conceptualize and pitch videos to the Marketing Team. Collaborate with the writers and the Marketing Team to optimize creatives. Compile and condense user generated assets into engaging video content. Help manage the publishing process to ensure content is optimized across multiple platforms. Qualifications (Note: We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick ALL of these boxes.): Aesthetic Excellence: Demonstrates a strong sense of composition and aesthetic decision-making, ensuring that all video content aligns with high-quality visual standards. Adobe Suite Proficiency: Possesses advanced skills in Adobe Premiere and After Effects, with additional experience in Audition, Photoshop, and Illustrator considered a valuable asset. Media Encoding and Publishing: Holds a basic understanding of media encoding and publishing processes, contributing to the seamless dissemination of content across various platforms. Cross-Platform Proficiency: Exhibits experience working with both Mac and/or PC computers, showcasing adaptability and versatility in a diverse technological environment. Organization and Media Management: Displays meticulous organizational skills, effectively managing media assets and ensuring a streamlined workflow throughout the video production process. Collaborative Team Player: Thrives in a cross-functional team environment, actively contributing to collective goals that drive the continued growth of the business. Attention to Detail: Pays meticulous attention to detail, ensuring the precision and accuracy of all aspects of video production, from script to final delivery. Strong Communication Skills: Communicates effectively within the team, conveying ideas clearly and fostering an environment of open and constructive feedback. Problem-Solving Orientation: Exhibits a strong desire to solve challenges, coupled with openness to giving and receiving feedback, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Effective Time Management: Demonstrates the ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple competing tasks and demands, ensuring the efficient execution of projects. Bachelor’s Degree 2 years In Video Editing. 1 year experience in Motion Graphics. Must apply with Production/Editing Reel. Video Editor for Direct Response Marketing preferred. Social Media Data Analysis preferred. Google Sheets/Docs data entry preferred. Color grading and audio mixing preferred. Digital Strategy and Audience Development experience preferred. The posted salary range in this job posting reflects data based on California's cost of labor analysis. This salary range is subject to change per state; please click here to find the pay differential in your state of residence if the role is remote. Salary is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geographical location.
