A school district in Dallastown, PA is seeking a dedicated paraprofessional to serve as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) for the 2025-2026 school year. This vital role supports a fifth-grade male student with behavioral challenges in an elementary school setting. The primary focus of this position is to provide one-on-one behavioral support to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide consistent behavior support to a male student who may exhibit aggression toward furniture, materials, and staff
• Implement behavior management strategies as directed by school staff and behavioral specialists
• Maintain a calm and supportive presence to help de-escalate challenging situations
• Collaborate closely with teachers, behavior specialists, and parents to support the students needs
• Monitor the student throughout the school day, ensuring safety and compliance with behavioral goals

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience working as a paraprofessional or behavior specialist in an educational environment
• Ability to manage challenging behavior with patience and professionalism
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively partner with school staff and family
• Availability for 31.25 hours per week, Monday through Friday
• Preference for male candidates to meet the familys request
