Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Paralegal with experience in both family law and criminal law to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be well-organized, proactive, and able to handle multiple cases simultaneously while providing outstanding support to attorneys and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Family Law:

  • Assist with drafting and filing divorce petitions, parenting agreements, and child support documentation.
  • Prepare financial affidavits, discovery responses, and other related family law documents.
  • Coordinate hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
  • Provide client support and assist with case management for divorce, child custody, and spousal support cases.

• Criminal Law:

  • Assist with the preparation of criminal defense cases 
  • Research legal precedents and case law to support defense strategies.
  • Prepare and file discovery documents, subpoenas, and motions.
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, law enforcement, and experts to gather case information.

• Perform general administrative duties, including filing, document management, and maintaining case files.

• Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts as needed.

• Ensure timely deadlines are met and provide consistent updates to attorneys and clients.

Qualifications:

• Paralegal certification or relevant legal education (Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a paralegal in both family law and criminal law.
• Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and documentation for both family and criminal cases.
• Proficiency with legal research tools, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Colorado Notary or able to obtain Notary within 60 days.
