Work shift: M- F 6:00 am - 2:00 pm. Available overtime. Mandatory overtime once a month. As a Maintenance Technician in the GenMark team, your main task is to support the development and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, instruments, fixtures, and tooling used in manufacturing, research, and development environments. Troubleshooting and adjusting as needed the Mechanical, Electrical and software-related issues on GenMark’s ePlex Cartridge and Consumable manufacturing equipment and systems. Following step-by-step instructions to perform assigned Preventive Maintenance on production equipment as well as maintain manufacturing and R&D equipment and instruments to the manufacturers’ specifications. Assists with process improvement projects to include spare parts program fixtures needed to support manufacturing, R&D, and other company needs. Additional responsibilities for Maintenance Technician II include executing equipment validations (IQ/OQ) and documenting all activities following Good Documentation Practices, documenting Equipment and Engineering activities in accordance to established procedures, company policies and FDA, leading special projects as requested and performing additional duties as assigned. Maintenance Technician I requires a High School Diploma with 0-2 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment or a technical/trade school degree preferred, focused on electro-mechanical equipment repair, troubleshooting, systems calibrations, and/or preventive maintenance, and knowledge of CGMP, FDA 21 CFR-Part 820, or other regulated environments. Maintenance Technician II requires a High School Diploma with at least 2 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment or a technical/trade school degree preferred, asset database management system experience, knowledge of CGMP, FDA 21 CFR-Part 820, and experience with laboratory diagnostic instrument software and systems. Relocation benefits are not available. Salary range based on Carlsbad, CA location is $40,700 - $75,700 USD annually, with actual pay determined by experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and company performance. This position qualifies for benefits detailed by the company.
